The property

A stone house,
facing south, on the mountain

The Gîte des Calmettes sits in the heart of the Montagne Noire, in the middle of Occitanie, on the heights above Pont-de-l'Arn. Built in local stone, the house opens due south onto a panorama running from Mazamet to the ridges of the Pic de Nore.

Everything is on site. The great hall with its sound system and bar for the evenings, a fully equipped kitchen (settings for 30), squash, pétanque, and the hot tub on the upper terrace. A large wood stove heats the house in winter — firewood provided.

Life here happens outdoors. The fenced 15 × 7 metre pool with its diving board and whirlpool area, the six-seat hot tub on the upper terrace, the covered squash court, pétanque in the shade and the children's play area — all included, all a few steps away.

What to know before you book

Cleaning — €149Not included in the rate. A cleaner returns the house to spotless working order. Payable on arrival.
